Play 360 Connector Screenshots
Play 360 Connector Description
This is a very simple app that recognises the NFC tag inside the Nokia Play 360 bluetooth speaker and toggles bluetooth on/off. Once paired for the first time, this allows you to tap the speaker and automatically connect, then disconnect on tapping again. It is also possible to launch a selected application once connected.
NOTE: On tapping, you may be asked to use the tag with either Play360 or the built in Tag app in Android; the only way to get rid of this is to "freeze" the Tag application using something like Titanium Backup (if you have Android 4.0+ you can disable it in the app settings without root). If you do this, the tag should open with Play360 automatically.
Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) - Jelly Bean adds native support for Bluetooth pairing via NFC, therefore the Play 360 is supported and connects properly with no need for other apps!
Galaxy S3 users - It seems that the S3 has some problems auto-connecting to some Bluetooth devices and I have had reports that this is the case with the Play 360, meaning that this app will not be a solution for S3 users. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this as it is a device problem.
PERMISSIONS USED:
-BLUETOOTH: For obvious reasons.
-BLUETOOTH_ADMIN: Allows the app to toggle bluetooth without showing the "Allow this app..." dialog.
-NFC: The app is pointless without access to NFC.
