Gory Games TV Play-along Description
Use this app to play along with the BBC’s top children’s TV quiz show, Gory Games. You must say 'OK' when asked to turn on the microphone. How to play:
• Download and install the app now to your Android mobile or tablet.
• On loading, the app will say ‘Gory Games would like to access the microphone’. Make sure you say ‘OK’ as this allows the app to listen out for the TV programme and keep in time with the show. It will only work if you say OK. Please note we can’t hear you – it’s just for the app to hear the show.
• Check the schedule for the next episode of Gory Games on CBBC - and set a reminder
• When it’s show-time, remember to launch the app and make sure the TV volume is up
• The app will ‘listen’ for the specific episode and then connect automatically
• Answer the quiz questions alongside the studio contestants to win Year Spheres
• At the end of the show, find out if you’re a winner or destined for the Time Sewers
• Track your scores across the series and play again on-demand using the BBC iPlayer.
The Horrible Histories Gory Games quiz show is back on the BBC with added ‘playability’.
Answer the questions correctly, beat the studio contestants and win virtual Year Spheres. Bonus spheres can be won by correctly predicting who will win in the Time Sewer games.
At the end of the show, find out if you’ve scored enough points to win a virtual prize or be sent to the smelly Time Sewers.
You can track your scores across the series and revisit individual episodes using the BBC iPlayer or by playing the shows back on your digital TV recorder.
Note: This is a TV play-along app and has been specifically designed to work with Series 3 of Horrible Histories Gory Games. Only episodes that carry the ‘CBBC play-along logo’ have been enabled.
This application will work with most current Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy tablets and smartphones (S2, S3, S4, tab 2 and 3), Sony Xperia, Nexus 7 and Tesco Hudl. (Unfortunately, some older and/or lower specification smartphones and tablets may not meet the technical requirements.)
